Pricing FAQs
Do you charge extra for your set-up or tear-down time?
No, we do not charge any standard fees for our time to set-up and tear-down, unless we are required to set-up more than 2 hrs. before the start of the event or delay tearing down more than 1 hr. after the end of the event. (This is very rare.)
Do you require a deposit?
Yes, when you decide to book Fat Cat DJ Services, we will provide you with a contract for services and a $100 deposit will be required to hold your date. The deposit will be applied to your total, reducing your balance due.
Is dance floor lighting always included?
Yes! Dance floor lighting is included as a standard when we give you a quote, but it is optional. If your event won’t be enhanced by this lighting (as in daytime outdoor events), you can omit it and we will reduce your rate by $100.
Do you offer discounted rates for weeknight events?
No, at this time we do not have differing rates for weeknights vs. weekends.
Can I add extra hours of performance time when we’re having a blast and don’t want it to end?
Yes! You can add hours to your package ahead of time or you can add extra hours a-la-carte the day of your event* at a rate of $50./hr. *While we can not guarantee our availability to honor same-day requests, since we never double-book events, we are usually able to accomodate such requests.
When is my payment due?
Your balance is due the day of your event. Payment in advance is also gladly accepted.
