Do you provide all your services personally?
Yes! We do not have “staff” DJ’s, so when you book with Fat Cat DJ Services you can rest assured that we (Brian & Kathy) will personally be DJing your event. We work together at every event to insure that no details are overlooked!
How long before the start of my event do you arrive to set up?
We will arrive approximately 1.5 hours before the start of your event. This allows enough time not only set up equipment but also to perform sound check and respond to any unexpected issues that could crop up. We are always set up, dressed up, and have music playing by the time your first guest arrives!
What attire do you wear?
Our attire depends on the type of event and your personal wishes. But for most traditional weddings Brian wears a black tuxedo with black tie as pictured above and Kathy wears an appropriate blouse and slacks.
Do you take song requests?
Yes, we are always happy to take requests. We will also screen requests and only play those that fit into the genres you prefer, if you would like us to do that.
Do you provide a timeline for reception events?
Yes! We will provide an itinerary for your wedding reception after you submit all the details pertaining to your reception using our online planning forms. You will then have final approval over the itinerary.
Do you play clubs open to the public?
No. We specialize in private events like weddings, reunion, and birthdays. We feel every special event deserves our undivided attention, so we don’t divide our resources playing at clubs. Imagine having a DJ at your wedding who is tired and uninspired because he was out late playing a club date the night before. You will never have to worry about that with us!
